Why extract pages
A forty-page contract usually matters for one signature page, a catalogue for a couple of spreads, a thesis for the title page and contents. Instead of sending the whole file, tick the pages you need and the tool saves them as a separate PDF. The pages keep the order they had in the source, and nothing on them changes.
How to extract pages from a PDF
- 1
Upload the PDF — the pages appear as thumbnails.
- 2
Tick the pages to keep by clicking them, or type their numbers: 1, 4-6.
- 3
The bar at the bottom shows how many pages will go into the new file.
- 4
Click Extract and download a PDF with only the selected pages.
What extraction does here
Any pages
Pick pages from opposite ends of the document — they are gathered into one new file.
Number ranges
Typing 1-3, 10, 15-20 selects all the listed pages in one go.
Original quality
Pages are copied without recompression — text, fonts and images included.
Preview
Thumbnails show the content; enlarge any of them to read small print.
Long documents
Thumbnails load as you scroll, so hundreds of pages do not slow things down.
Password-protected files
Enter the password of an encrypted PDF and it opens for page selection.
No sign-up
Works right away; no account required.
Files are not kept
The source and the result are deleted from the server automatically after an hour.
When extraction helps
Send only what is actually needed:
- one page of a contract with the bank details or the signature;
- a colleague needs a particular chapter of a report;
- a single section of a scanned book;
- specific pages of a passport or charter for an application;
- you are collecting excerpts from several documents.
Extract or split?
Extraction gathers the selected pages into one new PDF. If you need to cut a document into parts — by chapter, or every page on its own — use Split PDF instead. And to drop a few unwanted pages while keeping everything else, Delete Pages is the faster route.
What is preserved
The new file is built from the source pages without redrawing, so text stays selectable, vector graphics stay sharp and embedded fonts travel with the pages. Links inside the selected pages keep working; bookmarks that pointed at pages left behind lose their meaning in the new document.
