Why convert Excel to PDF
An Excel sheet is easy to change by accident, and on another computer it opens with different fonts and page breaks. A PDF fixes everything in place: a price list, estimate, chart or report looks the same on every device and cannot be edited. The converter moves the sheets of a workbook into a document with formatting, cell borders and charts, turning formulas into their values.
How to convert Excel to PDF
- 1
Upload the XLS or XLSX file.
- 2
Wait a moment — the workbook is opened on the server and printed to PDF sheet by sheet.
- 3
Download the finished document.
- 4
Check the pagination: wide sheets may span several pages across.
What the converter does
XLS and XLSX
Files from old and new Excel versions work, as do workbooks from LibreOffice and Google Sheets.
Formatting
Fonts, fills, cell borders and alignment come through as in the original.
Charts
Graphs and charts on the sheets land in the PDF as images.
Formulas as values
The document shows the calculated results; the formulas themselves are not exposed.
Every sheet
Each sheet of the workbook becomes part of the document, in tab order.
Print area
A print area and page breaks set in the workbook are respected.
No sign-up
Conversion works right away; no account needed.
Files are not kept
The source and the result are deleted from the server automatically after an hour.
When you need it
A PDF of a spreadsheet is wanted wherever a fixed look matters:
- a price list or quote goes to a customer;
- an estimate or reconciliation is attached to a contract;
- a report must be submitted in a format that cannot be edited;
- a schedule or timetable is printed or posted;
- a table has to open on a phone without Excel.
How a sheet fits on pages
The sheet is printed the way Excel would print it, following the orientation, scale and print area saved in the file. A wide sheet may break into several pages across — if that is inconvenient, set landscape orientation or Fit to one page wide in Excel before converting. Hidden sheets and rows are left out of the PDF.
What to check in the result
Fonts missing on the server are replaced with close matches, so column widths may shift slightly. Conditional formatting and charts come through; macros and interactive elements do not. A very large sheet makes a long run of pages — for a compact file, reduce the print scale or hide unneeded columns.
